Each year Dollar Energy Fund honors those who
soar above and beyond
to support Dollar Energy Fund’s mission through Golden Eagle Awards.

CAPFSC is proud to announce that Victor Tononi was honored with one of the five Golden Eagle Award's presented in Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1983 in Western Pennsylvania by a coalition of concerned community, religious, and business leaders, the Dollar Energy Fund, Inc. has grown to become the third largest fuel fund in the country, both in clients served and dollars granted.

Dollar Energy partner's with 17 utility companies across Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.  Each company matches every donation dollar for dollar and 100% of that money is used for utility grants for those less fortunate.   They also partner with over 160 community-based organizations like CAPFSC across Pennsylvania.

Each year Dollar Energy Fund honors those who “soar above and beyond” to support Dollar Energy Fund’s mission through Golden Eagle Awards.

On Friday September 17, 2007 Victor Tononi customer assistance program coordinator and community services field worker was honored for "Outstanding Performance and Services" when he received the Golden Eagle Award during the 24th annual luncheon celebration in the West Club Lounge at Heinz Field.

I try to direct people to different parts of this agency, they may need transportation or Head Start, or something else,” he said. “I have a good rapport with most people. Most of the time, this job is very satisfying.”

The award is proudly displayed in Vic's Living room by his American Eagle.

Victor is a Veteran.  He joined the dedicated team of professionals at CAPFSC in May of 2002.  Prior to his service with CAPFSC he was employed by the Somerset County Redevelopment Authority as the housing rehabilitation supervisor.

He and his wife, Peggy, live in Johnstown. They have three adult children: Lisa Choka, Johnstown, Paul, Latrobe, and Michele, Fort Worth, Texas.

Jeffrey P. Masterson, our executive director says the agency is proud of the accomplishments that Victor has achieved during his tenure.  “His caring and ability to fully empathize with the plight of our neediest citizens has now been recognized by his peers,” he said. “Vic has always gone the extra mile to assure that everyone he helps receives what they need with very personal compassion and understanding. By achieving the Golden Eagle recognition award, this is just further evidence of the high quality person that he is and one who we all enjoy working with here.
