Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
Sponsored by the IRS
A free tax preparation program for Somerset County residents
who cannot afford paid professional assistance. Trained Volunteers prepare
tax returns for taxpayers with income less than
$49,000 for 2009, including individuals with disabilities. The
computer based, electronic preparation and filing will allow individuals to
receive their refund within 7-10 days free. This will enable individuals and
families to keep this money in their pockets and in Somerset County.
Services are by appointment only
beginning January 19, 2010 to April 15, 2010.
