Project Home Grown
Project Home Grown

Project Home Grown continues to flourish! Community Action Partnership for Somerset County/Tableland Services, Inc. was awarded the Lee Initiatives Health & Wellness Endowment. This exciting new grant has broken ground on a community garden that encompasses two sites, one at Community Action and the other at the Next Step Center. As participants travel on their individualized journey to self-recovery and empowerment, they will be faced with new challenges and goals. Each participant will be partaking in ongoing life skill classes, horticultural therapy, and individualized goal setting. This well devised structure will help each participant learn healthy habits and be streamlined to a multitude of community services to strengthen their housing stability. Community Action Partnership for Somerset County has broken ground on the garden area and is laying a strong foundation to a healthy green space. Continue to check out our website for more pictures on this innovative new program and Somerset County's community garden!
